Unicorn Blood Tracer Dye Concentrate

Professional high-visibility liquid tracer dye for leak detection and water tracing.

Unicorn Blood Tracer Dye Concentrate is designed to help identify water movement, leak paths and points of water ingress during leak detection and diagnostic testing.

The concentrated liquid is simply diluted with water to create a highly visible coloured solution, making it quick and easy to test individual areas and trace where water is travelling.

What can it be used for?

Unicorn Blood is ideal for investigating:

• Showers and bathrooms
• Balconies and terraces
• Roofs and gutters
• Windows and external openings
• Waterproofing systems
• Toilets and cisterns
• Stormwater and drainage systems
• Plumbing and water-flow investigations
• General water ingress testing

How to Use

Mix 25mL of Unicorn Blood Concentrate with 1 litre of clean water.

Shake or stir thoroughly to ensure the dye is evenly dispersed.

Apply the mixed solution to the area being tested and allow sufficient time for the coloured water to travel through any potential leak path.

Monitor surrounding or adjoining areas for the appearance of the dye. The location of the coloured water can assist in identifying the source, direction or pathway of water movement.

For more complex investigations, different Unicorn Blood colours can be used to test separate areas, helping distinguish between multiple potential leak sources.

Once testing is complete, flush the tested area thoroughly with clean water.

Mixing Ratio

25mL concentrate + 1L water
500mL bottle = up to 20L of mixed tracer dye

Tip: Concentration can be adjusted depending on the size of the test area, volume of water and visibility required.
